UPDATE: Air Quality Statement ENDED for Southern Peace areas

Environment Canada has ended a Special Air Quality statement for areas from the BC border across to Little Smoky, including Grande Prairie, Beaverlodge, Sexsmith and Valleyview. 

High Air Quality Health Index levels were detected in those areas, with E-C saying it is due to increased pollution. 

Those levels have now decreased to low risk and are expected to stay there for the remainder of the day.
