Teen arrested after online threats made towards Peace River school

Peace Regional RCMP have arrested and charged a 15-year-old male after they received a complaint of online threats towards Glenmary High School in Peace River.

The incident occurred on Saturday November 10th.

The 15-year-old male is from Peace River but was not a student at the school.

He has been charged with uttering threats.

The school is open, and police say there is no longer any threat to the students or staff.

Peace Regional RCMP are reminding everyone safety of staff and students at local schools remains a priority for them. They say threats of any nature are taken seriously and RCMP will take immediate action to ensure the safety of the public.
