City seeking feedback on Muskoseepi Skatepark expansion

Feb 11, 2018 | 5:00 AM

The city would like to hear back from residents on the updated proposed concept model for the Muskoseepi Skatepark expansion.

There’s now a new online survey available.

“This is going to be a public facility from all park users and skateboarders to include feedback into the design and make sure it’s what the community needs,” said Karen McGriskin, Manager of Sports Development, Wellness and Culture with the City of Grande Prairie.

The city’s 2015-2018 capital plan includes $475,000 for a skateboard park master plan and expansion for Muskoseepi Park.

McGriskin says construction of the 6,000 square foot expansion will start in the spring and they hope to have it completed in July.

She says once the expansion is done, it will be for skateboarders of all skill levels.
