Man arrested after incident in Mission Heights

A man has been taken into custody after police said a man was possibly armed and barricaded in his residence in the Mission Heights neighbourhood. 

The incident started at approximately 4 p.m. today. 

The scene was contained by Grande Prairie RCMP officers and Police Dog Services and just before 7 p.m. the male was taken into police custody without further incident.

RCMP will not be releasing the name of the individual at this time.
