The Grande Prairie Petroleum Association handed out $65,000 in funding to local charities and organizations.

$25,000 went to the Hospital Foundation. This was one-third of their 5-year commitment of $75,000.

$10,000 each went to Big brothers and Big Sisters of G.P. and area, P.A.R.D.S., the G.P. school snack program, and the Alberta Summer Games that will be held in Grande Prairie this July.

“It’s just a great feeling being part of the community and being able to give back to the community for those that aren’t as fortunate as we are,” said Rob Petrone, President of the Grande Prairie Petroleum Association.
