FSJ RCMP looking for woman and child

RCMP in Fort St. John need help locating a young woman and child following an incident Saturday where a man attempted to pick the child up.

It happened between 10:30-11:00 a.m. at 97th Ave and 100th St.

Witnesses heard the child screaming and confronted the man who then put the child down and walked towards the public pool.

The mother and child also left and now RCMP would like to speak with them to ensure they are safe.

RCMP say all three were described as South Asian or Middle Eastern.

The suspect male was described as being between 25-35 years old, having a 5 o’clock shadow, large thick neck, and white button up shirt that was nearly see-through with black shoes.

The female was described as wearing a full cover, purple burqa, with purple pants and top 25-30 years of age, 5’4 and 170lbs.

The 4-5-year-old child was described as wearing a white shirt with a blue collar and having black medium length hair.
