Man arrested and charged after police stop suspicious vehicle

A city man has been arrested and charged after RCMP stopped a suspicious vehicle.

Kyle Belcourt-Gladue, who is 25, was pulled over Tuesday, May 8 at 4:30 a.m. in the area of 98 Avenue and 94 Street.

Police quickly discovered he had 12 outstanding warrants and he was arrested without incident.

The suspect vehicle was searched and RCMP seized two firearms, ammunition and drugs including cocaine and methamphetamine.

The 17 charges Belcourt-Gladue is facing include:

Unauthorized possession of a firearm x2
Unsafe storage of firearms x3
Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
Possession of restricted firearm without license
Possession of firearm/ammunition in a motor vehicle x2
Unauthorized possession of a firearm x2
Possession of property obtained by crime
Possession for the purpose of trafficking x2
Fail to Comply with Conditions x3
