Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes Project continues Monday
Work on the Downtown Rehabilitation and Streetscapes project will resume Monday.
Crews will start blocking off 100 Avenue from 101 Street to 214 Place make way for work both below ground and at ground level.
City Representative Monty Haughian says underground pipes that are 80 years old will be replaced.
“I looked back in the history books and that was the first water and sewer systems put in down 100 Avenue. They were placed in the fall of 1938. That is the biggest concern is to update those, get them bigger so we can build larger buildings downtown.”
