UPDATE: AB govt receives mitigation plan from Graham Construction

Aug 22, 2018 | 6:49 AM

UPDATE: A government spokesperson says Graham Construction has submitted a mitigation plan to Alberta Infrastructure.

The company in charge of building the Grande Prairie Regional Hospital was issued a Notice of Default at the end of July and today (Aug. 22) was the deadline to get a mitigation plan in.

EverythingGP has been informed the submitted plan is currently being reviewed.

At the time the infrastructure minister said if the company did not come up with a plan to get construction of the hospital back on track, they risk being taken off the project and further delaying the build.

The company fired back by stating the Alberta government has ordered so many design changes that it’s had to tear down work already completed just to keep up.

The cost of the project has ballooned over the years.
