Grande Prairie traffic stop leads to 20 drug-related charges

A traffic stop near 98 Street and 112 Avenue October 18 has led to 20 charges against a Grande Prairie man.

Grande Prairie RCMP say they pulled a vehicle over around 3 p.m. last Wednesday.

They ended up seizing marijuana cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine, a set of brass knuckles and over $1300 cash.

Twenty charges have been laid against 20-year-old Nicholas Rak.

The list includes three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, two of possession of a controlled substance, three of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and ten of failure to comply with recognizance.

He is due in court November 1.
