Air Quality Index Update – August 18th

A special air quality statement remains in effect for a fifth straight day for the Grande Prairie region. 
 
As of 8am Saturday morning, the Air Quality Health Index for the region was at 5, or a moderate risk.

Environment Canada is forecasting that the risk will increase to 10+ this afternoon, dropping back to 6 tonight and then lower even further to 5 on Sunday.
