Beaverlodge firefighters called to pair of grass fires

The dry, windy weather means the wildfire hazard continues to climb.
 
The Beaverlodge Fire Department says it was called to a pair of grass fires Tuesday night.
 
One was what the Department describes as a “large, windblown fire” in the Horse Lake Area. Firefighters from La Glace, Hythe, and Horse Lake also fought the blaze.
 
They were also called to a smaller fire in the Halcourt area that was out by the time firefighters arrived. La Glace and Wembley also helped with this call.
 
No injuries or damage to buildings was reported in either fire.
