RCMP confirm they are investigating three Highway 40 shooting incidents
Grande Prairie RCMP confirm they are investigating three incidents of vehicles being shot at along Highway 40.
The first happened Wednesday afternoon. Just before 4 p.m., a tanker truck southbound on Highway 40 about 45 kilometres south of Grande Prairie was hit after a gun was fired. There was damage to the tanker (picture, top left).
Social media pictures also show damage to two other trucks (pictures top right and bottom left). More details from police are expected soon.
RCMP say they have identified a suspect vehicle in the first incident. Police are looking for a black 2007 F250/350 with a six to eight-inch lift, black rims and large wheels. It also has a red canister that may be a fire extinguisher in the back.
