Wilson throws 3 second-half TDs, Seahawks D dominates
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — The way Seattle was moving the ball on offence and how its defence was dominating the banged-up New York Giants, Russell Wilson knew it would just be a matter of time before the Seahawks found a way to win.
It was just a matter of being patient. It paid off.
Wilson threw three second-half touchdown passes and the Seahawks limited the Giants’ receiver-depleted offence to season-low 177 yards in a 24-7 win on Sunday.
“The score was 7-3 and we were calm,” Wilson said. “No panic. For us, we just had to stay the course. We’ve been here before. The defence was lights out tonight. Credit to them and what they were able to do. For us, we just had to make plays. We were moving the ball down the field. We just weren’t finding the end zone.”
