More people looking for work, on the job, in this region

Statistics Canada says there are 900 more people looking for work in the region that takes in the Peace.
There were 12,300 job seekers in the area that reaches from Banff to Peace River this July compared to 11,400 last year.
Both numbers are well below the 15,200 unemployed people that were looking for a job in that area in 2016.
Stats Can. adds there are 7600 more people working this year compared to last.
The population also dropped by 1300.
Alberta’s unemployment rate stood at 6.7 percent in July, up a bit from 6.5 percent in June.
