Air quality fluctuating around the Peace due to smoke

The air quality is getting worse in areas of the Peace Region this morning.
The Peace Airshed Zone Association says the Air Quality Health Index (AQHI) is now at 11, or Very High in Beaverlodge, and 7 or high in both Grande Prairie and Rycroft.
A listener tells us the smoke is very thick in the Sexsmith area this morning as well.
The more particulate matter there is the air, the higher the number.
Environment Canada says the at-risk population should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors. Children and the elderly should also take it easy.
