Election results pour in for towns around the region

As the polls close for the 2017 Municipal Election, unofficial results from towns in the Grande Prairie region are rolling in. Gary Rycroft will serve as Mayor of Beaverlodge after receiving the most votes over Roger Loberg. Rycroft received 551 votes while Loberg was handed 181. Leona Hanson was the incumbent, but she did not run for re-election.

Incumbent Allan Georget has been re-elected as Mayor of Spirit River after beating three others in the polls.

Claude Legace is the Mayor of Sexsmith and Gordon MacLeod of Fairview as they were both acclaimed to their positions.
