Apr 26, 2018 | 1:06 PM

Alberta Justice says a preliminary hearing has been set in the case where a city grader was shot at back in February.

Dakota Jackson Grey is facing ten charges, including attempted murder. His hearing will be held January 29 and 30, 2019.

Grande Prairie RCMP said shots were fired at a grader just before 12:30 a.m. on February 3 after the grader and the suspect’s vehicle were in a collision.

The grader operator was not shot but did have to go to hospital for treatment of what police describe as minor injuries.

Trial set in drug bust case

Alberta Justice says a man charged this past January after a drug bust near Wembley will stand trial on January 2, 2019.

The 16 charges against Steven Brown of Grande Prairie include three drug counts and 13 weapons charges.

On January 3, 2018, police were called to a suspicious vehicle pulled over along Highway 43 east of Wembley.

A search turned up crack cocaine, methamphetamine, heroin, a gun, ammunition, a knife, brass knuckles, and cash.

Three men were in the car, but Brown was the only one charged.
