UPDATE: Road reopened following fatal collision south of Peace River

UPDATE 8:24 a.m.: Highway 2 between Range Roads 252 and 254 has been re-opened

3:00 a.m.: Two people are dead following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 2 near Berwyn, south of Peace River.

According to RCMP two others were injured and rushed to hospital.

Mounties advise against travel in that area as a section of highway will be closed for a few hours and traffic diverted on Highway 2 will be diverted between Range Roads 252 and 254.

An investigation will be conducted by an RCMP collision analyst and updates will be provided when available.
