Thieves steal $80,000 worth of jewellery in Dawson Creek

Dawson Creek RCMP say thieves made off with $80,000 worth of jewellery in an early-morning robbery Thursday.

Police say the theft happened at around 3:45 a.m. at DC Gold Brick Jewellers Store located in the Dawson Creek Mall after the suspects broke into the Mall, setting off the alarm in the process.

Some cash was also taken.

A suspect vehicle with some jewellery inside was found abandoned nearby. Mounties think they got into another vehicle.
