The Dunes driving range opens early with warm weather

The Dunes Golf and Winter Club is taking advantage of the warm weather on the first official day of spring, opening up their driving range for the season.

The range will now be open daily from noon to 6 p.m., weather permitting.

“Basically, we just pushed all of the snow off the driving range,” said Superintendent Brent Ashton. “It took us probably, like, four days and the weather is cooperating. So, it was all good.”

General Manager Andrea Pyper notes that the pro-shop is also open for anyone to get stocked up on new golf apparel and accessories for the season.

Though there is no official opening date for the course, the ladies league is quickly filling up with just two open spots remaining. Ladies night goes every Wednesday from 4:24 to 7 p.m.

The club will also continue to offer a men’s league drop-in on Thursdays from 3-7 p.m.
