Flyers set to host Coy Cup

The 2018-2019 hockey season isn’t over just yet for a pair of teams in the North Peace Hockey League.

The Fort St.John Flyers and Dawson Creek Canucks will be taking part in the Coy Cup which begins Tuesday in Fort St.John.

The four-team tournament is the Senior AA provincial championship in B.C.

Last years tournament was held in Williams Lake where the Dawson Creek Canucks defeated the Kelowna Sparta in the championship game.

Joining Fort St.John and Dawson Creek in the tournament will be the Williams Lake Stampeders and the Prince Rupert Rampage of the CIHL.

The tournament gets going Tuesday afternoon when Dawson Creek battles Williams Lake.

A full schedule for the tournament is listed below.

This will be the first time Fort St.John has hosted the Coy Cup since 1994.
