Soldier charged after allegations of sexual misconduct

An Edmonton-based soldier has been charged following allegations of sexual misconduct reported in Alberta and British Columbia.

National Defence says an investigation began last July into complaints that occurred on a number of occasions and in various locations.

They include the Canadian Division Support Base in Edmonton and during an assignment in B.C. in 2017.

Warrant Officer Jarvis Malone of 1 Service Battalion is charged under the National Defence Act with abuse of a subordinate, conduct prejudice to good order and discipline and drunkenness.
