The final of the Coy Cup, the BC provincial men’s ‘AA’ hockey championship, will be an all BC Peace matchup.

The Dawson Creek Canucks punched their ticket to the final with a 7-3 win over the Williams Lake Stampeders on Friday night.

After a scoreless opening period, the Canucks jumped out to a 4-1 lead after 40 minutes, before pounding home three more in the third to secure the win.

That sets up a meeting between the Canucks, and their NPHL and Highway 97 rivals, the Fort St John Flyers.

The Flyers were 3-0 in the round robin to advance directly to the final, including a 3-1 win over the Canucks on Wednesday night.

Puck drop is set for 8pm BC time at the North Peace arena in Fort St John.
