Female Midget Storm fall short of medal round

The medal games are on tap for today at the Female Midget Elite provincials at the Coca-Cola Centre.

Sherwood Park will face Calgary White in the bronze medal game at 9, followed by St Albert and Calgary Red playing for gold at 11:45.

The PCFAC Storm finished the tournament with an 0-3-1 record after dropping a 3-2 decision to Calgary White yesterday.

Jensyn Wallan and Mady Brazel scored for the Storm, who came back from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game in the third, only to give up the game winner with just over three minutes remaining.

All three Calgary White goals were scored on the power play.
