Yaremko & Bjorklund have season end in Everett

The season is over for Spirit River’s Nolan Yaremko and Grande Prairie’s Paycen Bjorklund.

The two peace region products had their season come to an end Saturday night in Everett where their Tri-City Americans fell 9-1 in Game 5 of the Western Conference Quarter-Final.

They dropped the series in 5 games.

For Yaremko, this marked the final game of his junior hockey career.

The 20-year-old forward and Tri-City’s Captain was in his 4th and final season with the Americans and registered 3 goals and an assist in 5 playoff games.

Grande Prairie’s Paycen Bjorklund meanwhile will be able to return to the Americans next season for his 19-year-old season.

During the 2018-2019 campaign, Bjorklund had 5 goals and 5 assists in 56 games and was held pointless in the post-season.
