Area residents wake up to snow on Thursday

Residents of the Peace Country have been greeted by a fresh layer of snow this morning, after several weeks of warm, spring like temperatures.

Environment Canada is calling for about 2 cm to fall, before ending late this morning.

Today is expected to bring a high of 2 degrees, but will steadily warm into the weekend, with an expected high of 11 degrees on Monday.

Rain is expected overnight on Friday and into Saturday morning.
