April 4 a good day to expect precipitation

On the last half-dozen April 4th’s, counting this one, there has been rain or snow on all but one.

That was in 2017.

Environment Canada records indicate that on April 4, 2014, Grande Prairie had 1.2 centimetres of snow. There was a trace of snow in 2015, 5.2 millimetres of rain in 2016, and 1.4 centimetres of snow on April 4 last year.

There were over 17 centimetres of snow in April of 2018, with most of it falling on the 16th and 17th.
