Three charged after suspects ram police vehicles

Two men and one woman have been charged in Alberta after RCMP say they responded to a rural break-and-enter and the suspects attempted to ram police vehicles while trying to get away.

RCMP say they got the call about the break-and-enter last Thursday in the Mystic Beach area of Lac La Biche County, and that they found two pickup trucks in the complainant’s yard.

As police approached they activated their emergency lights, and they say that’s when the suspects rammed one of the police vehicles.

All three of the people face charges that include break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime over five-thousand dollars and trespassing at night.

Forty-eight-year-old Baptiste Herman from Janvier faces an additional charge of assaulting a peace officer with a weapon.
