UPDATE: The St. Albert Slash beat Halifax 4-0 Wednesday to run their record to 2-1-1.

Spirit River’s Dayle Ross was named player of the game for the Slash as she found the back of the net twice in the win.

Tianna Yaremko, also of Spirit River, registered an assists on Ross’ 1st goal of the game.

The Slash play Stoney Creek, Ontario on their next game Thursday at 10 a.m. our time to close out the round robin.

Tianna Yaremko and Dayle Ross of Spirit River along with the rest of the St.Albert Slash were on the wrong end of another 3-2 result Tuesday, falling to the Saskatoon Stars.

Yaremko had an assist in Tuesday afternoon’s loss.

The contest was a re-match of the 2018 Esso Cup final which saw the Slash earn the National title.

The loss drops the Slash to 1-1-1 at the tournament, but they remain in a playoff position with 2 games to go in the round robin.

They will look to bounce back Wednesday morning against the Halifax Fire.
