Last curling Grand Slam continues

The last Grand Slam of Curling event of the year continues in Saskatoon .

Casey Scheidegger will play Kerri Einarson Thursday evening at the Champions Cup. Scheidegger is 1-1 so far, Einarson 2-0. Scheidegger’s last round robin game will be Friday afternoon versus Russia’s Vlada Rumyanceva.

Thursday afternoon, Kevin Koe went to 2-0 with an 8-3 win over Yannick Schwaller’s team from Switzerland. Koe will play John Epping Friday afternoon and Brad Gushue Friday evening. That Koe-Gushue match-up will be the last round-robin game for both.

Epping beat Gushue 7-6 in an extra end Thursday afternoon. Gushue drops to 2-1 while Epping is 2-0.

Colton Lott is subbing at second for the Gushue rink. Regular second Brent Gallant, along with Jocelyn Peterman, are representing Canada at the world mixed doubles championship in Norway. They finished the round robin at 6-1 and will go to the playoffs.
