Spirit River products help Slash to National Title

The St Albert Slash have won their third straight national female midget hockey title.

Spirit River’s Dayle Ross scored into an empty net to help clinch a 4-1 win over Sudbury in yesterday’s final of the Esso Cup.

Ross, who is in her first year of midget eligibility, ended the tournament with five goals.

Fellow Spirit River native Tianna Yaremko also played for the Slash.

She had two assists in seven games in the tournament.
