Suspect in hospital after RCMP chase

LLOYDMINSTER, Alta. – Alberta’s police watchdog has been called in to investigate an RCMP-involved shooting in Lloydminster.

Mounties say they were trying to arrest a person in a stolen vehicle on Monday afternoon when the suspect fled on foot.

They say officers pursued on foot but during the course of the chase a police gun was fired.
