FSJ’s Nielsen and Giants fall short in WHL Final

Fort St.John’s Tristan Nielsen and the Vancouver Giants season is over following a heart-breaking loss in Game 7 of the WHL Final Monday night.

Prince Albert knocked off the Giants 3-2 in overtime with former Victoria Royal Dante Hannoun netting the series clinching goal.

Nielsen had a productive post-season for the Giants.

In 23 playoff games, the Fort St.John product had 3 goals and 13 assists.

The Raiders will move on to the Memorial Cup which is taking place in Halifax this year.

They will battle the host Mooseheads on opening night which is this Friday.
