Brewers open 2019 Wheatbelt season against defending champs

The 2019 Wheatbelt baseball league season is underway and the County Brewers will open their 2019 campaign with a stiff test.

The Brewers will host the Rycroft Rage Thursday night.

Rycroft was scheduled to open the season Tuesday night in Dawson Creek against the Dodgers, but the game was postponed due to weather.

First pitch between the Rage and the Brewers is at 7:15 p.m. from the Crosslink County Sportsplex, weather permitting.

The other game on the schedule Thursday evening features the Manning Mets travelling to Grimshaw to battle the Huskies.

Grimshaw is looking to bounce back following a 7-3 loss to Peace River Wednesday night at home.
