Fire Advisory Issued for Grande Prairie Forest Management Area

A fire advisory is now in place for the entire Grande Prairie Forest Management area, as the wildfire hazard here has moved to very high due to dry conditions, rising temperatures and gusty winds.

All existing fire permits have been cancelled, and no new permits will be issued until the advisory ends.

The only types of fires allowed at this time are safe campfires within a fire ring in backyards or campgrounds, charcoal briquettes, portable propane fire pits, and gas or propane stoves or barbecues.
