7 Special Olympics Athletes from GP named to Team Alberta

Special Olympics Grande Prairie revealed Thursday seven of their athletes have been named to Team Alberta for Special Olympics Canada competition in 2020.

They will be sending a 5-pin bowling team to Nationals which will be joined by 2 athletes from Edmonton.

Tricia Cramer, Steve Grandejambe and Desiree Rehm will be competing in bowling and will be joined by Head Coach Cathy Withers.

Snowshoer Nikki King will also be representing Grande Prairie at Nationals.

Finally, three players from GP will represent Alberta in floor hockey at the tournament.

Brendon Mercier, Darryl Loutitt and Darren Pedersen will join a team from Wetaskawin for the event which will take place from February 25-29, 2020 in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
