Mets & Rage victorious Wednesday in Wheatbelt

Wednesday night was a busy one for the Wheatbelt baseball league as four of the five teams took to the diamond.

In Grimshaw it was the visiting Rycroft Rage who picked up a massive 13-0 win over the Huskies.

A big 7-run 2nd inning propelled the Rage to their 2nd win of the season.

Meanwhile out in Manning the Mets and Peace River Stampeders needed extra innings to decide a winner.

The Stamps came back from a 5-1 deficit to force extras but in the 8th inning it was the Mets scoring the go ahead run to vault them to their 3rd win of the campaign and improve their record to 3-2.

League play for the week will wrap up Thursday night when the 4-1 County Brewers travel to Rycroft to face the 2-1 Rage.

First pitch is at 7:15 p.m.
