County Fire Ban lifted

County fire ban lifted effective noon today

Thanks to rain and cooler temperatures in the forecast, the County will lift its fire ban at noon today.

Fire bans will be lifted in Beaverlodge, Sexsmith Wembley and the Village of Hythe effective 12 p.m. Thursday as well.

The restriction on recreational off-highway vehicle use on public lands will also be lifted.

During fire season a burn permit is required. Fire permits will once again be issued by the County on request. Burning is not permitted when winds reach 12 km per hour or higher.
