Pair charged after stolen vehicles recovered near Brownvale

Two people are facing charges after RCMP found a number of stolen vehicles at a rural property near Brownvale.

Peace Regional and Fairview RCMP started a joint investigation May 24 that led them to the property.

They say the vehicles recovered included a pick-up, mini-van, and a number of snowmobiles and that they came from around the Peace Region.

Police have charged 59-year-old Donald Barry Lawrence and 41-year-old Colleen Marie Giroux, both from Brownvale, with three counts each of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000 and one each of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

They are both due in Peace River court June 24.
