Wolves announce date for Steve Burgess Memorial Race

The GPRC Wolves Cross Country team announced Tuesday the details regarding the annual Steve Burgess Memorial Race.

The event will take place on September 21st and provides a chance for runners of all ages to take part in the race which starts and finishes near the Pavilion at Muskoseepi Park.

The race honours the memory of Steve Burgess who passed away in a cycling accident in June 2001.

Burgess was a massive supporter of the Wolves Cross Country team.

In 1994, Burgess founded a yearly donation to the team and a scholarship for a 2nd year runner from the GPRC which has been handed out for the past 25 years.
