Pair in Saddle Hills County charged with theft of speedboat, batteries

RCMP in Saddle Hills County have recovered a stolen speedboat, trailer and several batteries that are believed to have been stolen from oilfield sites in the area during a search of a rural property near Bay Tree.

A search warrant was executed back on May 26 by Spirit River RCMP and the Western Alberta District Rural Crime Reduction Unit at the property.

26-year-old Jered Panich and 27-year-old Darlene Krause each face charges of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000.

Panich and Krause are to appear in Grande Prairie Provincial Court July 29.
