Speeder caught doing 200 km/h on Highway 43

Grande Prairie RCMP’s Integrated Crime Unit says it recently caught someone going nearly twice the legal speed limit on Highway 43.

A young person was clocked driving 200 kilometres per hour near Valleyview on June 11.

The driver is facing speeding charges. Their name cannot be released because they are underage.

RCMP remind drivers that higher speeds increases the severity of collisions and the faster someone goes, the longer it takes their vehicle to stop.
