GPRC Students to take part in research surrounding Indigenous traditions around wildfire management
A pair of GPRC students will get the chance to form a unique partnership this summer.
Andrea Rosenberger and Emma Doerkson will be taking part in the Sistering Indigenous and Western Science bursary and mentoring program which embraces both Indigenous cultural knowledge and Western science.
The SINEWS program funds eight pairs of post-secondary female students to take part in the study, with each team consisting of one Indigenous and one non-Indigenous student.
“I’m so excited to dive in and learn,” stated Rosenberger in a press release from GPRC Tuesday morning.
