One man killed, one injured, in Highway 40 crash

A 23-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash south of Grande Prairie Wednesday.

Grande Prairie RCMP say the man’s southbound SUV collided head-on with a northbound semi at Highway 40 and Township Road 700 at 12:50 p.m.

The 39-year-old driver of the semi was taken to hospital with what police call non-life threatening injuries.

Mounties add names are not being released and that Occupational Health and Safety has been notified.
