Brewers split double header with Mets

County of Grande Prairie Brewers split a double header with Manning on Saturday in Wheatbelt Baseball league action.

The Mets won the opener, erasing an early 4-0 deficit for a 6-5 victory, as Sam Southwick pitched a complete game, four hitter to pick up the win.

In the back half of the twin bill, the Brewers jumped out to a 7-0 lead, and kept their foot on the gas pedal this time en route to an 11-2 triumph.

Matthew Atkinson struck out 12 in a complete game four hitter, and helped his own cause with a pair of hits himself, while Parker Sharp also had two hits and drove in three runs.
