Navigators announce newest recruit

Jul 9, 2019 | 7:06 AM

Despite the sun shining and the ice out of many rinks in the Peace Region the teams in the North West Junior Hockey League continue to gear up for next season.

Five of the six teams in the league have announced dates for their Fall camps and teams are continuing to announce their player commitments.

Monday morning the North Peace Navigators announced their latest player agreement.

Nampa product Kyle Yaniuk will be suiting up for the Navigators for the 19/20 season after two seasons of playing with the Peace River Royals Midget AA squad.

In 29 games last season Yaniuk registered 4 assists from the back end for the Royals and added a goal in the post-season.

He also got into the line-up 5 times with the Navigators last year.

NWJHL training camps will begin to open at the end of August.
