Eleven arrested in two day span in High Prairie

Aug 7, 2019 | 2:22 PM

High Prairie RCMP say eleven people were arrested between Friday and Saturday of last week as a result of a collaborative investigation with the High Prairie RCMP General Investigation Section.

Between August 2 and 3, police acted on 27 different warrants and arrested those individuals. No names of those accused have been released.

Cpl. Chris Warren with the Alberta RCMP says these arrests are not all related, and these warrants were executed based upon outstanding charges these individuals faced.

One suspect is facing the following charges as a result of this investigation:

  • Assault with a weapon (x2)
  • Assault
  • Forcible confinement
  • Uttering threats
  • Drive while disqualified

High Prairie RCMP say they will continue their efforts to reduce crime in the communities they serve by targeting these offenders.
