RCMP respond to multi-vehicle collision near Oyen

OYEN, AB — RCMP are currently on the scene of a serious motor vehicle collision northwest of Oyen.

RCMP, along with Oyen Fire and EMS, were called to a multi vehicle collision involving two tractor trailer units and a passenger vehicle at approximately 4:30 p.m. STARS Air Ambulance and HALO Air Rescue have been called out to the area.

The collision has occurred at Highway 9 and Range Road 60, and the highway is not currently passable. It is not expected to reopen for several hours.

Traffic is being redirected via Highway 886 and Range Road 51.
