Chuckwagons cancelled for second straight day in Dawson Creek
Aug 8, 2019 | 4:24 PM
The rain has once again cancelled the chuckwagon races at the Dawson Creek Exhibition and Stampede for the second straight day.
Racing for both the WPCA and WCA Chuckwagons will now go Friday through Monday. Each heat in the aggregate stage will go from four horse to three, due to poor track conditions. Event organizers say safety of both the drivers and horses is of the utmost concern.
Main rodeo performances start tomorrow and will go through Sunday, starting at 1:15 pacific time each day.
All other events scheduled at the fair grounds are a go for this evening, except the Kiddie’s Parade.
